Neil Ellis Amica 2016
Winemaking rules were broken to create a sophisticated style of South African Sauvignon Blanc. Made through wild fermentation and oaking in old French oak. Initial scents of white florals and fresh herbs, are supported by those of sweet stone fruits and honeysuckle, and completed by a flinty minerality. Juicy with mouth watering notes of nectarine, lime and lemongrass. A round and creamy mouthfeel complimented by gentle minerality whilst the nervy acidity contributes to a youthful and vibrant finish. The 2016 Amica is a complex and textured expression of Sauvignon Blanc.

Neil Ellis Whitehall Chardonnay 2016

Light golden green with very youthful lime and melon aromatics. Tightly structured palate with mouth watering acidity, balanced by subtle oak. Restrained mineral edge, with balanced richness, elegance and length.

Neil Ellis Piekenierskloof Grenache 2013

Bright ruby colour. Vibrant red fruit with spicy peppery aromas which flows on to the palate. The palate has a lovely freshness, great length and fine grippy tannins. The wine is ever evolving in the glass.

Neil Ellis Groenekloof Cinsaut 2014

Medium intensity of colour with a bright crimson hue. The wine portrays a complex mix of red fruits, spicy notes and perfumy characters. Further interest beckons via subtle oaking. The palate is bright and youthful with cherry and fruit tart flavours. Fine grainy tannins add to the structure of the wine.

Neil Ellis Rodanos 2012

The wine has an attractive purple red colour with red and black berry aromatics, wild berries and cassis. Generous with soft texture and fine grained tannins. Flavours of black berry and dark cherry with hints of spice and Christmas cake.

Neil Ellis Jonkershoek Cabernet Sauvignon 2014

This is the signature Cabernet Sauvignon of Neil Ellis. It is a distinctive style with all the hallmarks of the Jonkershoek Valley and known for its distinctive balance of elegance and fruit power. Medium intense ruby red colour. Restraint aroma but deep, complex perfumes of blue and black small berry fruit. Cedary aromas and touches of mint, so typical of a Jonkershoek wine. The palate is smooth and plush followed by fine, but dense tannins. A ripe, soft tannin vintage with savoury expression.

Neil Ellis Insignium 2006

Deep in colour, this youthful elemented wine shows wonderful overlapping of aromas and flavours. The regional character of the Jonkershoek Valley is finely poised. The perfumed violet/mocha aromas, good concentration, savoury flavours and classically structured palate are in superb balance. Beautifully defined with its meaty nuances and fine – grained tannins will allow for continued evolving in the cellar over time.
